America’s ongoing celebrity golf game is a spectacle to behold in the NBA offseason. And much of this interest stems from a sharpshooter’s sensational strokes and swings on the course. Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors is not only settling scores with his NFL rival but also swinging like a pro. His immaculate stroke-making makes many believe that the $160 million rich Chef is going home richer.

But one-half of Splash Brothers isn’t playing his beloved sports for money. The Warriors star earlier missed this year’s ESPYS for his casual golf outing with his father. However, his passionate participation in the celebrity golf tournament seems to be a sure shot at some big reward.

The Money on the Course for Stephen Curry

Notably, Curry is playing in the American Century Championship (ACC) event that has gained popularity over the years due to its entertaining format and big money. According to its official fact sheet, the event offers a total prize pool of $600,000. The winner of the tournament bags a whooping $125,000.

So, if Curry manages to win, he’ll add a significant amount to his already impressive wealth.

Curry’s chances are brighter than his competitors, given his teenage ties with the game. While creating one after another record on the court, Curry never concealed his desire to join the PGA Tour after his basketball career. Given his inclination and interest, he was recently named the 2023 Ambassador of Golf at the Kaulig Companies Championship.

ACC is an annual celebrity golf event bringing together superstar athletes, Hall of Famers, and actors. All of them are united by their love for golf. Among them is Patrick Mahomes of the NFL. Before coming to the event, Mahomes had an edge over Curry with his fortnight older golf victory. But Curry settled scores in the ongoing tournament itself and gave everyone a glimpse of his golf brilliance.

But it’s Curry who’s stealing the show. He made a hole-in-one and is currently leading the tournament. And given how the star point guard is refusing to lower his guards on the course, Curry looks in no mood to finish second. Only time will tell whether Curry will come home richer.
