Humiliated Warriors Fans Regret Steve Kerr’s $35 Million Extension As Stephen Curry’s Absence Deepens Wounds

The Golden State Warriors have not been having their best season right now. For a team that has won 4 championships in the last 9 years, their recent performance has not been up to the mark, leading them to be placed as the 10 seed in the Western Conference. Star player Stephen Curry has been doing his best to maintain the momentum for his team during this tumultuous time. After recently having developed an ankle injury, however, his availability for the next couple of games has remained questionable.
A few hours ago, a social media user released a stat through his official X account. By highlighting 11 players belonging to different teams, the user analyzed the winning percentage of those teams when their respective star players were unavailable for the game. He found that in the absence of Stephen Curry, the Warriors only have a 35.7% chance of winning a game. This led another X user to vent out his frustration by stating “And they extended Steve Kerr (clown emojis). Franchise so finished”.
And they extended Steve Kerr 🤡🤡🤡. Franchise so finished

Since the past few days, much of the Warriors’ poor performance has been reportedly attributed to coach Steve Kerr, whose contract with the team was recently extended at the cost of $35 million. From reportedly making bad decisions during the 4 quarter of some crucial games to reportedly stating that his team lacks “that grit every good team needs”, the 58-year-old has definitely not been in the good graces of fans these past few months.

The coach may have made some lapses this season. However, he cannot be entirely blamed for the Warriors’ poor performance. Fans may remember that Kerr was the very same individual who led his team to over 4 championship wins. With star players like Curry and Thompson at his disposal, the coach has been successful in creating a great offensive force that can pull through even the strongest of defences. He makes it a priority to limit the minutes of star players and give atheletes like Trayce Jackson-Davis a chance. While it makes sense for people to select a scapegoat, it is important to remember that the blame should not fall on just one single individual.
What lies ahead for the Warriors without Stephen Curry?
After recently coming off a 13-point loss against the Spurs, the Warriors are set to face them once again in the next two days. After that, they will confront the Dallas Mavericks, the Los Angles Lakers and then the New York Knicks. While there has been no official confirmation, Stephen Curry is expected to be absent from all of these games.

Both the Warriors and the Mavericks are currently in a precarious position. Their next few matchups, including the one against each other, holds a great deal of significance. If one of the teams manages to win the rest of the games and rise either to the 7 or the 8 seed, then they will have two opportunities to secure their position in the playoffs. If their current position holds, however, then the roster will have to deal with a win-or-go scenario with their rival franchises. Therefore, until Stephen Curry returns, it is in the best interest of his team to place themselves above the danger zone.
