It’s been a week of goodbyes for the Golden State Warriors fanbase. Fan favorite and commonly regarded as the second coming of Stephen Curry, Jordan Poole, moved to the Washington Wizards recently.
The gossip around the NBA community suggested that there was some bad blood between the youngster and the Warriors core. Following his blockbuster move to the Wizards, Poole gave an interesting insight into his relationship with the team’s veteran stars, including Curry and Klay Thompson.

Jordan Poole had quite an eventful 2022-23 NBA season. Following a brilliant breakout season in 2022, Poole was in the limelight during pre-season after Draymond Green punched him.
Just days before Green signed a contract extension with the Warriors, Poole was sent to the Wizards. This deal saw ‘Point God’ Chris Paul join Stephen Curry and co.

During one of his press conferences as the latest Wizards player, Poole gave an insight into his relationship with ‘The Splash Brothers’. “I can text Steph. I can text Klay, I can call them, and just have a conversation. That doesn’t go anywhere. If anything, I just know the plays that they run,” he claimed.

Curry seemed very emotional to see the 24-year-old leave his team. Hours after the trade was officially announced, the four-time NBA champion gave him an emotional farewell. Curry was nothing but happy for Poole’s next step in his career. Interestingly, Poole joins the Wizards after two high-profile exits and was welcomed by the Vice President herself.
While Poole will miss being around the ‘Splash Brothers’, the same can’t be said about another Warriors star.
Poole refuses to comment on ex-teammate Draymond Green
During the same press conference, the 2022 NBA champion was asked to comment on whether the infamous Green incident had any type of impact on the trade.

Unlike his passionate talk about Curry and Thompson, Poole dodged the question. He simply said, “We’re in Washington now”. Additionally, Poole asserted that he looks forward to playing with 2020 NBA champion Kyle Kuzma.
