NFL legend Shannon Sharpe comes out on top on the opening night of the All-Star weekend. He took on his broadcast partner Stephen A. Smith, in the coaching battle of the Celebrity All-Star game. Ironically, the basketball expert couldn’t get the better of the NFL legend, as his team went on to register a comfortable 100-91 win over Team Stephen A.
Following the game, Sharpe took to his social media and penned a special message, along with a glimpse of the event. The message read, “100-91. Came home with the WIN today. I don’t show up to lose, I just SHOW UP! Maybe coaching IS in my foreseeable future if I’m popping off like this.”

The league kicked off the All-Star week with the star powered celebrity game. The celebs from across various fields took to the court to battle it out. Coaching wasn’t just restricted to the First Take duo. They also received support from legendary rap artists Lil Wayne and 50 Cent.
After the intense battle, it was Sharpe and 50 Cent, who took home the glory. NFL superstars Micah Parsons and Puka Nacua did the hard work on the court to seal a comfortable victory. Parsons went on to win the MVP award, dropping 37 points, 16 rebounds and 4 steals.
Keeping the stats aside, Sharpe hinted at an altercate career after drawing his first blood in his coaching stint. He wrote, “Maybe coaching IS in my foreseeable future.” While it isn’t clear whether Sharpe was serious about his statement, the question is, will it be basketball or NFL?

Shannon Sharpe had a tough task, running the show alongside Skip Bayless until he moved to ESPN recently. Sharpe and Bayless were seen going at each other several times on live TV. After joining hands with Stephen A. Smith, the tussle doesn’t seem to have ended, as he went after his new partner as well, jokingly.
After tonight’s game, Sharpe took to his X handle and dropped a video of him from the courtside, coaching his team along with a taunt. He wrote, “I been making promises all week! You should know by now I keep em! @stephenasmith you good bro?”
