Despite a convincing game on the court, Draymond Green lashed out at the post-game interview. The Golden State Warriors decimated the LA Lakers in a 120-134 win, powered by Green’s instrumental shooting prowess. However, the 4x NBA Champion seemed to be disappointed with the affair on the other end of the court. The star called out refs’ hypocrisy over a ‘no call’ during a play against Austin Reaves.

In that play, Green attempted to block Reaves’ layup and ended up getting hit in the face. Speaking of it in the post-game press conference, Green said, “It’s a bit frustrating like Austin gashed his elbow, hit me in the teeth and it’s no foul. I get hit in the face every single game and I get no foul call. I hit somebody on the face, I get thrown in the jail.”

Draymond Green also had a brief heated moment with the referee, arguing over the ‘no call’. Stephen Curry and a Warriors’ staff had to step in to separate the power forward. Nevertheless, Green got away without a double technical foul. Even Austin Reaves was seen patting Green during the moment to calm him. The last time he engaged in an argument with a ref, he was ejected from the game, leaving Steph on an emotional roller coaster.

The 4x NBA Champion had to deal with a similar problem throughout this season. In this season alone, the refs have ejected him four times, and two of them have resulted in suspension. While he faced a 5-game suspension on one occasion and an indefinite suspension on the other. Green’s absence in this period impacted the team’s regular season and ended up in a disappointing slump.

However, it wasn’t for long until the Dubs got into the groove in the late end of the season, ensuring the play-in spot. Green’s return played a huge role in the team’s massive comeback, winning 20 out of their last 30 games.

How much ever Draymond Green got disappointed on the defensive end, he made the Lakers pay for it on the other end. Tonight, the Warriors dropped a season-high 26 three-pointers. Out of them, 5 came off from Green’s magical fingers. The star forward went 5-5 from the perimeter, leaving the Lakers’ defenders to scratch their heads.

Speaking in the post-game interview, the interviewer referred to him as Splash Cousin, for draining the three-pointers alongside Steph and Klay Thompson. In response, Green gracefully said, “I appreciate the compliment, but I don’t want that pressure.” Yes, being Steph and Klay come with a lot of pressure. The Splash Bros are currently in the top-6 ranking of the All-Time 3-points made. Curry holds the first place with 3735 3PM and Klay at the 6th spot with 2472 3PM.
