In this modern age of basketball, the rivalry between LeBron James and Stephen Curry has been a defining factor. Only a handful have been lucky enough to share the dressing room with both of these superstars. One such NBA player has recently received high praise from a Los Angeles Clippers star.

The luck has already favored the former teammate of Curry and James massively. With the latest words of admiration from a Clippers superstar, his legacy in the NBA got cemented even more.

In the latest episode of Podcast P with Paul George, Paul George himself was reflecting on his initial years in the league. He looked back at the time when he used to play scrimmages in the UCLA gyms against the NBA superstars. One name amongst them used to stand out on the court according to the Clippers forward.

Due to the structure of the courts, JaVale McGee used to stick out amongst all the players present on the basketball court. George claimed that he used to secretly wish to partner with JaVale, stating, “I hope he’s on my team this time”. “He was just so athletic and he was so gifted with his length and size,” the 33-year-old said to describe him.

The 8-time All-Star was right to point out McGee’s time prowess. The 35-year-old center often does not get enough praise for his contributions on the court alongside his gifted physical attributes. Despite winning three championships in his career, his time in the NBA is underrated.

He was part of Stephen’s Golden State Warriors roster that won back-to-back championships in 2017 and 2018. He won his third ring with LeBron at the Los Angeles Lakers in 2020. So, not only playing with the generational superstars, he also contributed to them lifting championships. This brings us to our next question.

His time with the Dallas Mavericks is reportedly coming to an end. The 7’0 center could be waved off by the Mavericks by the end of this month.
