The USC Trojans finally snapped their seven-game losing streak on the road. While it was a messy game, USC edged out UCLA with a 62-56 win to improve their record to 11-16 (5-11 in the Pac-12). Bronny James once again had a quiet night, only contributing two points with two rebounds and two assists in 15 minutes of playing time. Regardless, this was an important win after the Trojans had lost nine of their last eleven games entering Saturday’s matchup. As always, Bronny’s biggest cheerleader, LeBron James, did not fail to extend his support, as he paid tribute to his son’s team, the USC Trojans, during the Los Angeles Lakers game against the Phoenix Suns.
For Sunday’s nationally televised game, James debuted the home-white USC Trojans colorway of the Nike LeBron 21. The sneakers feature a white upper with cardinal and gold accents, while the white and speckled midsole rests above a transparent outsole. Completing the design, USC’s iconic logo is featured on the tongues.

The Los Angeles Lakers continue to struggle
Despite James’ 28 points and seven rebounds while dishing out 12 assists, the Lakers fell short of a victory, losing by a final score of 123-113. The Suns entered the contest all guns blazing, putting up 45 points in the first quarter, the most they have scored in a quarter this season. The Lakers were trailing by as much as 20 points in the first quarter. While they tried to mount a comeback by cutting the deficit to single digits, they still trailed 72-63 at the break.
Despite being known for their defensive prowess, the team’s struggles, particularly in rebounding, were glaring during the game. The Lakers had difficulty crashing the boards after the Suns’ missed shots, allowing the Suns to grab 14 offensive rebounds. By the game’s conclusion, the Suns maintained a commanding 51-34 rebounding edge. In addition, four of the Suns’ five starters scored at least 20 points as they extended their home winning streak to eight.
