The Indiana Pacers are on a 27-20 record and sixth in the Eastern Conference team rankings. Despite having their star point guard Tyrese Haliburton absent from their lineup, they are coming off a 116-110 win against the Memphis Grizzlies. The Pacers have played 10 of their last 11 games without Tyrese, securing six wins. Tyrese suffered a hamstring injury on January 8 while driving to the basket during the games against the Boston Celtics.

Fortunately for the Pacers fans, sources point toward Tyrese making a comeback on Tuesday against the Celtics at the TD Garden. It will be a chance for the star to redeem a win after suffering his injury playing against the same team. NBA Insider Adrian Wojnarowski broke the anticipated news on Instagram stating, “There’s optimism Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton will return to the lineup vs. the Boston Celtics on Tuesday. Haliburton — who was selected a starter in the All-Star Game — has missed 10 of the past 11 games with a hamstring injury.”

Tyrese’s last full game was against the Portland Trail Blazers where the Pacers lost 118-115. The 23-year-old star dropped 21 points and contributed two rebounds and an incredible 17 assists over 35 minutes. Despite the injury that has held him back for a while, Tyrese has been having a great season, attaining career-high averages.

Tyrese Haliburton has played 34 out of the Pacers’ 47 games so far into the season and has averaged career-high points (23.6) and assists (12.6). He is currently leading the league in assists, and topping the Pacers’ charts in points, assists, and steals (1.1). Tyrese was also recently selected as an Eastern Conference starter for the forthcoming NBA All-Star game, set to be held in Indianapolis. He was named alongside stars like Joel Embiid, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Damian Lillard, and Jayson Tatum.
