Injured Ja Morant Celebrates 19YO Teammate’s Historic Feat in Joining LeBron James and Kevin Durant’s Elite Co

The Memphis Grizzlies have had one of the most unfortunate season so far. The team has lost four of its starting line-up mid season and one of them won’t return until next season. Despite the troubling situation, the team managed to pull off two wins with their second unit. The latest victory came against the Golden State Warriors. The team not only took home the victory but also a 19-year-old rising star joined an elite club comprising LeBron James and Kevin Durant.

And, the franchise spearhead, Ja Morant, who is set to miss the remainder of the season, took to his IG handle to celebrate the incredible feat. Let’s find out more about the feat that 19-year-old GG Jackson’s achievement.

Following the injury blows, the Grizzlies’ responsibilities are left to the second unit to take care of until the starters’ return. While there is no chance for Ja Morant to return in this season, the team has to wait for Desmond Bane, Marcus Smart, and Derrick Rose to recover.

Until then, Jaren Jackson Jr., Vince Williams Jr., and Luke Kennard are taking care of the business. However, alongside them, the 19-year-old GG Jackson has also stepped up, especially in the last two games, and also made it to an elite club.

Jackson came off the bench and dropped 23 points in his 29 minute stay tonight. Moreover, he continued from where he left off in the previous game against the New York Knicks, where he dropped 20 points. Following his consecutive 20-point games, Jackson joined James and KD to become the youngest players to drop back-to-back 20-point games.

Both superstars came into the league with towering hype. Especially LeBron James. The Cleveland Cavaliers picked him as the #1 pick of the 2003 draft. He went on to live up to the hype and won the Rookie of the Year award, averaging 21 points per game.

On the other hand, Seattle Sonics picked KD as the second overall in the 2007-08 season. He also went on to win the ROTY award, averaging 20.3 points.

Importantly, they didn’t produce back-to-back 20-point game once, but multiple times in their rookie season. Notably, both superstars were only 19-year-old when they played rookie season.
