The Wolves and Nuggets locked horns once again after a few days tonight. In the last outing, the Nuggets made it a point to defeat the Minnesota side and clinch the first seed in the West. The team even postponed their White House visit to concentrate on the game. Eventually, they went on to win the game.
Tonight, however, it didn’t go in their favor, as the short-handed Nuggets struggled to chase down the Wolves’ offense. Jamal Murray has had a difficult season so far dealing with multiple injuries. He also missed 11 consecutive games with a hamstring injury. While the defending champs are only a few weeks away from the postseason, Malone revealed that Murray would return before the playoffs.

Will the Nuggets have another Jamal Murray upset?
In 2021, Jamal Murray tore his ACL and missed the entire 2021-22 season. The Nuggets didn’t make it to the Finals despite having a strong roster. In the very next season, Murray returned and made an insane turnaround and the franchise’s first-ever ring. So missing the star point guard could be costly for the Nuggets once again.
Coach Malone, however, dropped a positive update regarding the severity of the star’s ankle. He said, “I don’t think this is a nine-game injury where he doesn’t play for the rest of the season”, reported Denver Post.
