With just 9 more games remaining for them in the regular season, the Minnesota Timberwolves (51-32) have established their spot as the number one seed and are more than prepared to soon head off to the Playoff series. Before they can do that, however, they have to face the very same team against whom they lost their previous two matchups: the Chicago Bulls (35-39). With just a few more hours remaining until the same, the Timberwolves highlighted the availability of their key players by releasing their Injury Report.
The team’s injury report highlighted that the team’s lead scorer, Anthony Edwards, has been listed as ‘questionable’. The shooting guard has been making a constant appearance on the Injury Reports ever since he dislocated his left middle finger during a clash with the Utah Jazz on the 18 of March. Despite being listed as ‘questionable’ in most of them, however, the player has appeared in every game since sustaining the injury. Therefore, while being listed as ‘questionable’ is no guarantee for his availability, there is still a high chance that Anthony Edwards will be present to take on the Bulls at the Target Center in Minneapolis.
Rudy Gobert, who has been averaging 13.7 points and 12.9 rebounds, joins his teammate in the ‘questionable’ category. While he has played in 67 of the team’s 73 games, the player’s rib problems continue to be a growing concern amongst his fans. Karl-Anthony Towns unfortunately continues to be in the “out” category. The player, who is still in the recovery stage after undergoing left knee surgery two weeks ago, has now missed over 11 games in a row. Jaylen Clark, who is still yet to play a game for the Timberwolves, also continues to remain in the “out” category. He is joined by Daishen Nix, who is unavailable in light of his schedule with the NBA G League.

From the Chicago Bulls side, Ayo Dosunmu and Alex Caruso have been listed as ‘questionable’. Given that both players are a prominent part of the Bulls’ offensive play led by DeMar DeRozan, their presence would be required when facing the same team that currently occupies the top seed on the Western Conference chart.

Anthony Edwards vs Chicago Bulls
Despite being one of the most dominating teams of the NBA, the Timberwolves have not always held a good track record against the Bulls. During their last 7 matchups, the Western Conference team has only managed to win against their rivals 2 times. Despite this, Anthony Edwards has continued to maintain a stellar average against them.
Since joining the Timberwolves, Edwards has faced the Bulls 7 times. In that time, he has managed to average 22.6 points, 5.6 rebounds and 4.9 assists. While he has scored below 10 in two of those instances, he has also scored above 30 in three of them. During their previous meet back in February, the 22-year-old had contributed 38 points and 12 rebounds to his team’s overall score. Despite this, the Bulls took home the win by barely 9 points.
