Curry said, ” No. My wife might come the last week when the medal rounds start. We have a new baby so it makes it tough to travel.” Despite Ayesha Curry‘s absence, Curry remains focused on his current goal of securing the one medal he hasn’t achieved and that’s the Olympic gold medal.

“It would mean the world. You commit to doing something like this. You understand the challenge that is ahead of us to do some of these things. This is historical stuff. The Olympic stage has had a lot of history that has gone on in this sport. From ’92 when The Dream Team played until now, USA has had supreme dominance and it’s our job to continue that. So be up on that podium, hear a national anthem and have the gold medals. That’s the vision. That’s why I’m here.” Curry said when asked what an Olympic gold medal means to him.

With this star-studded Team USA, Stephen Curry’s dream of winning an Olympic gold medal is not far away. Stephen Curry is currently third on the team in scoring, averaging 12.8 points per game, and leads the teams in 3- pointers made(14), shooting 37.8 percent from beyond the arc. Moreover, LeBron James and Stephen Curry being on the same team brings much more excitement to the table. “Obviously, me and LeBron have never been teammates in a competitive environment. And seeing how our games match, complement each other has been awesome so far…” Stephen Curry said. It’s unreal seeing all these players on one team, but it’s heartbreaking to think this could be the last Olympics for some of the players in the roster.

Odds favour the USA to win the Olympics

There’s no doubt that Team USA has the most talent of any team in the Olympics, with a lineup full of All-Star players, including a bench unit that has featured Anthony Davis, Bam Adebayo, Tyrese Haliburton, Anthony Edwards and Jayson Tatum. Outside of the current Team USA roster, those players alone would make the best squad in the world.

Moreover, LeBron James, Steph Curry, Kevin Durant, and others will represent the United States in Paris for the 2024 Olympics. They named James as the athlete who will be the Flag Bearer for Team USA, which is a massive honor. The NBA’s Big 3 joining forces is a major advantage for Team USA.

It won’t be a surprise if Team USA wins the Gold medal in the Olympics. The Olympics have single-game elimination, unlike the NBA playoffs with seven-game series. So, we can never be sure. What do you think of team USA winning the Olympics?
