The Los Angeles Clippers have made enough noise this offseason for all the wrong reasons, but one area they got it right is the acquisition of former Phoenix Suns superstar Bradley Beal. Adding the three-time All-Star to their roster has definitely been an upgrade for the Clippers and made their team even more dangerous for the upcoming campaign. But despite all the hype around him, Beal has yet to feature in the lineup. So, with LA taking on the Golden State Warriors tonight, will we finally see him in action?

Well, probably. This massive news comes after NBA Insider Chris Haynes reported that the 32-year-old shooting guard is expected to make his preseason debut at the Chase Center tonight. “Los Angeles Clippers star Bradley Beal (knee) is expected to make his preseason debut tonight in exhibition finale against Golden State Warriors, league sources tell me,” Haynes tweeted. So far, Beal has missed each of the exhibition games his team has played because of a knee injury, but sources say he is practicing.

The veteran guard underwent a procedure on his knee back in May and has been recovering since. Now, after months of rehab and returning to scrimmages and practices, Bradley Beal is looking good to go with the new season just over the horizon. Last season, the St. Louis native had a tough time in Arizona and went through several ups and downs throughout the season. Nonetheless, despite that, he managed to average a solid 17 points along with 3.3 rebounds and 3.7 assists for the Suns, starting 38 of 53 games.

Beal and the Clippers will be hoping that stat line improves this season as he will be suiting up alongside the likes of James Harden and Kawhi Leonard, both of whom should complement him well. While Beal looks set to make his preseason debut in tonight’s finale against the Dubs, what about the other LA Clippers stars? Will they be playing tonight at the Chase Center, or will Tyronn Lue take a cautious approach with his players?

LA Clippers injury report for their preseason finale against the Warriors

Although Bradley Beal seems to be ready, the Clippers could be without a few other stars. The most notable name among them is that of their starting point guard, James Harden. The veteran guard is expected to miss tonight’s game after head coach Tyronn Lue confirmed that he’ll rest Harden, according to Law Murray of The Athletic. Similarly, Kawhi Leonard’s preseason also seems to be over after the Clippers’ head coach stated that he also won’t be playing a part tonight against the Warriors.

However, Los Angeles’ injury struggles don’t end with James Harden and Kawhi Leonard. Even Bogdan Bogdanovic, the Serbian, is out for this game. The Serbian star also missed their previous game against the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday due to a back issue and will now be on the sidelines tonight as well. With the franchise missing several of its starters, it makes you think what will be Tyronn Lue’s starting five for the last exhibition game?

LA Clippers predicted starting five vs the Warriors

The Clippers will be playing the second leg of a back-to-back tonight in San Francisco, that too, without three of their key players. So, it’s safe to say that all the depth they’ve increased this summer will be put to the test tonight against Stephen Curry and Co. But who will feature in the team’s starting five?

Here’s how the Clippers’ starting five could look:

PositionPlayer
PGChris Paul
SGBradley Beal (probable)
SFDerrick Jones Jr.
PFJohn Collins
CIvica Zubac

Even though LA will be a bit short-handed, they’ve got more than enough firepower to take down the Warriors. More so, with the Dubs reportedly missing the likes of Jimmy Butler and Moses Moody. So far, the Clippers are 1-1 in the preseason and would want to end the preseason on a high note, and they wouldn’t have a better opportunity.

However, will Bradley Beal and Co. be able to take advantage of the Golden State Warriors‘ injury issues? That’s something you’ll have to wait and watch as the game tips off on NBA TV, Fubo TV, and Spectrum SportsNet at 10:00 p.m. ET/ 7:00 p.m. PT. It will be interesting to see which team takes home the W in the preseason finale.
