It has been a rough season for the Dallas Mavericks, starting from the results to the injuries. They’ve only registered two wins out of their last seven games, including consecutive defeats in the last two contests. However, they are aiming to flip the script when they host the Brooklyn Nets on Monday, January 12, at the American Airlines Center in Dallas. With Anthony Davis again out, the onus is on rookie Cooper Flagg to deliver the goods and guide his team to victory.

The Mavericks are 12th in the Western Conference with an underwhelming 14-25 record. With Davis sidelined due to a ligament injury in his left hand, they need someone else to do the heavy lifting in the upcoming games. They lost 125-107 against the Chicago Bulls in the previous game. Meanwhile, the Nets are in dire straits, 13th in the Eastern Conference with an even worse 11-25 record. They’ve lost six out of the last seven games and are on a three-game losing streak.
