It’s not a hyperbole to say that Giannis is on another level. In just two regular-season games, he’s already made NBA history by becoming the first player ever to rack up 60 points, 30+ rebounds, and 10+ assists in just two games of a single season. The same has helped the Milwaukee Bucks open with a 2-0 record. Now, as the Bucks take on the Cleveland Cavaliers in their third matchup, will Giannis suit up to keep his run alive tonight?

Is Giannis Antetokounmpo playing tonight vs the Cavaliers?

Well, the road is not so smooth for the Bucks since Giannis Antetokounmpo is listed as “probable” for tonight’s matchup against the Cleveland Cavaliers. As per reports, he’s dealing with a left great toe sprain. Even though he is still expected to take the court, keeping him at rest would be a safer option given the team’s recent memory with Damian Lillard hasn’t been good. Naturally, the team is cautious given how essential he is and understandably so. On top of that, the injury report has listed a few other concerns.

  • Kyle Kuzma (PF) is questionable with a left ankle sprain.

  • Kevin Porter Jr. (PG) is out with a left ankle sprain.

That leaves the bench guys, role players, and complementary starters to pick up the slack. If at all Giannis’ minutes are limited, it’s a huge deal for Milwaukee because the team’s rhythm is likely to suffer. And let’s not forget why the Bucks are so keen.

In Game 1 against the Wizards, Giannis posted 37 points and 14 rebounds. Then came the game against the Raptors, where he put up 31 points, 20 rebounds, and 7 assists. So if he is sitting out, the Bucks are losing out on precious 25-30 points. The Cavs, on the other hand, are in troubled waters.

3 players are listed on the Cavs injury list, with Darius Garland and Max Strus out for the long term. De’Andre Hunter, on the other hand, is GTD. They opened the 2025-26 season with a 119-111 loss to the New York Knicks, but bounced back against the Nets. They have Donovan Mitchell to lead, as he poured in 31 points and was supported by Evan Mobley’s 22 points and 8 rebounds.
