However, they might have to do so without a key player after a huge update emerged.

According to reports, Boston’s star shooting guard, Jaylen Brown, is available for tonight’s clash at the Little Caesars Arena. “Jaylen Brown (injury management) available to play Sunday.” Underdog NBA reported. That’s a huge relief for the Cs as Brown has been their leading scorer so far in the campaign, averaging 24 points per game. However, despite giving a good account of himself in the first two games, he’s garnering attention for another reason altogether.

During Boston’s last game against New York, the 29-year-old put up 23 points along with 4 rebounds and 3 assists, but the former NBA champion was involved in an unusual incident with Knicks star OG Anunoby, which converted him into internet fodder. Nonetheless, while Brown is available to play tonight, the same cannot be said for his teammates, some of whom might miss this game due to injuries. So who are the players who could be out?

Who are the other players on Boston’s injury list before tonight’s matchup?

While Jaylen Brown has been cleared, there are other Boston Celtics who could also miss a couple of their key players as they make the trip to the Little Caesars Arena tonight. Both Derrick White and Luka Garza are also on the team’s injury report. White, the team’s starting point guard, is probable for the clash due to a wrist injury. This could be a massive blow for Boston, given just how important Derrick White is to the roster.

The veteran guard has started this season in red-hot form, averaging around 20 points along with 4 assists per game. Not to mention, he also brings his experience to the table, which the franchise is in dire need of at the moment. Nonetheless, the Celtics’ injury troubles don’t end with Brown and White, as Luka Garza is also questionable for this game. The 26-year-old center has suffered a concussion and will be a game-day decision due to the same.

Lastly, of course, Boston will also be without their franchise player, Jayson Tatum, who continues to recover from his Achilles injury. So far, the 27-year-old forward has made some solid progress during his rehab, but whether he’ll return to the court this season or not still seems to be up in the air, at least for now. So, that’s all the players the Cs could or will miss as they aim to bring home their first win of the season against a 1-1 Pistons team. Speaking of which, why don’t we take a look at how Boston could lineup tonight?
