Averaging over 31 points in his senior year in high school, NBA Rookie Julian Strawther was a force to be reckoned with coming out of Liberty High in Las Vegas. He ended his time with them as their all-time leader in points and rebounds. Strawther became a consensus 4-star recruit before committing to play for Gonzaga despite receiving various offers from Marquette and UNLV.

Which draft class does Julian Strawther belong to?
Julian averaged 11.8 points and 5.4 rebounds for the Gonzaga Bulldogs in his sophomore year. Deciding he was ready to face the big dogs of basketball, Julian declared himself for the 2022 NBA Draft. However, he ultimately returned to Gonzaga, not going through with his decision.
However, the following year, in the 2023 NBA Draft, he was selected by the Denver Nuggets. Strawther was a first-round pick and the 29th overall pick in that year’s Draft. And on July 6, 2023, the Denver Nuggets officially announced that they signed Strawther.

Strawther made his regular season debut in a 108-104 win over the Memphis Grizzlies. However, he only played for 5 minutes in that, unable to make any significant impact. Julian Strawther ended his debut season averaging 4.5 points and 10.9 minutes played. Although the Nuggets did make the Playoffs that season. So, Strawther gained some invaluable experience in the long run. Even though he only played 5 minutes on average in 3 playoff games.

Julian Strawther has only just made his mark on the NBA. Only 22 now, and he has a lot of basketball in the tank. So, we will surely get to know the Denver Nuggets’ guard better as time goes on.
