The Los Angeles Lakers have been extremely inconsistent this season. Just when they looked like they were building on a winning streak, the Purple and Gold always seem to falter. Recently, they lost to the New York Knicks despite strong performances from their star players. However, the Lakers will continue their road trip to face the Brooklyn Nets on Tuesday, February 3, at the Barclays Center. They will again rely on LeBron James and Luka Doncic to help them bounce back to winning ways.

Overall, the Lakers are sixth in the Western Conference with a 29-19 record. They have won five out of their last eight games, highlighting their inconsistency throughout the season. They lost 100-112 against the Knicks in the previous contest. The Lakers fought hard in the first half, but in the third quarter, they lost grip of the game. Meanwhile, the Brooklyn Nets are 13th in the East with a 13-35 record. They are coming off a seven-game losing streak, which ended with their victory over the Utah Jazz. But they failed to build a winning run as they were blown away by the Detroit Pistons in a 77-130 win.

Is LeBron James playing tonight against the Nets?
LeBron James is looking in rhythm, and the veteran forward is all set to take the court against the Nets in Tuesday’s contest. He recorded 22 points, six assists, five rebounds, and one steal across 35 minutes during Sunday’s 112-100 loss to the Knicks. He will look to continue this momentum in the upcoming games as his bouts with sciatica and other injury concerns are things of the past.
The 41-year-old averaged 23.5 points, 6.7 assists, 6.7 rebounds, and 1.2 steals across 15 games in January. He will look to continue this production in February as he has now also secured an All-Star selection. Albeit being a reserve, this is his 22nd consecutive All-Star selection, marking his longevity and dedication to the game.
