Based on what we know, it seems Lindy is flying solo right now. Considering his Kiowa Nation roots, he’s not particularly secretive about his personal life and has opened up about it on previous occasions. When was Lindy Waters III drafted in the NBA?
Lindy Waters III didn’t get to the NBA overnight. His father, Lindy Jr., was also a basketball player and has played a big role in the Warriors’ star’s development. After his shocking suspension from high-school, after he posed for a picture with an airsoft gun after losing a bet, he went on to play for the Sunrise Christian Academy. He then played college ball for Oklahoma State, where he really started to shine. Despite his strong college career, Waters went undrafted in the 2020 NBA Draft. But that didn’t slow him down.

His hard work eventually paid off when he signed a two-way contract with the Oklahoma City Thunder in 2022, later transitioning into a multi-year deal! His journey took another turn, away from his hometown team, when he was traded to the Golden State Warriors in 2024, a move that’s opened new doors for him in the NBA.
