Stephen Curry led the charge for his team against Phoenix, scoring 24 points, including five threes. Although the veteran sharpshooter looked great last night, Golden State’s hectic travel schedule has cast a shadow over his availability. So, will he play tonight?

Is Stephen Curry playing tonight against the Kings?
Well, no. This comes after head coach Steve Kerr confirmed the four-time NBA champion’s status for this game against Sacramento. “He’s wiped out right now. So, I don’t care what the doctors say. We gotta get him some rest though. I’ll make the decision right now, and he’s not gonna play tomorrow; he needs to rest,” Kerr told reporters after Tuesday’s game.
“He has been sick of travel; everything was just caught up to them. So hopefully getting some rest, and hopefully we will be ready to go for Denver.” The Warriors’ head coach further explained. Well, indeed, the Dubs have had to do a lot of travel over the past few days; seven games in five cities over 12 days to be precise.

So it’s only right for the championship-winning head coach to give his star player some much-needed rest, especially when they are going to face Nikola Jokic’s Denver after tonight’s game. However, that for sure will leave a void in the Golden State’s lineup tonight, as Stephen Curry so far this season has been their focal point.
Over the first few games, the veteran point guard is averaging a team-high 26.8 points along with 4.3 assists and 3.6 rebounds per game while shooting 45.4 percent from the field and 38.9 percent from deep. So, now that he’s out of the picture for tonight’s game, it will be worth watching who replaces Stephen Curry. Meanwhile, is he the only player who’ll miss this clash?

Kings vs Warriors injury reports before tonight’s huge game
Well, Steph Curry isn’t the only player who’s going to miss this game in Sac-Town, as his partner in crime, Jimmy Butler, could also join him on the sidelines. While the veteran forward did play against the Suns last night, he did so despite having back soreness. In fact, that was quite evident through his performance as Butler not only played just 14 minutes, but also scored only 2 points before exiting the game.
The six-time NBA All-Star did not return to the game during the second half. So, it’s safe to assume he won’t be playing tonight, as his status remains in the air. This is yet another huge blow for the Warriors, who would want to muster up another win after snapping their two-game losing streak just last night. Nonetheless, Curry and Butler aren’t the only ones on the injury report for this game.

That’s because Golden State will also miss veteran center Al Horford and rookie Alex Toohey for this game. While Horford is out with a toe injury, Toohey remains on the sidelines with a knee injury as everyone awaits his debut. Lastly, the Dubs will once again be without De’Anthony Melton, who is recovering from his injury. That’s all from the Dubs, but what about their opponents?

As for the Kings, they are doing much better in the injury department than the Warriors. It is because Sacramento only has a single player ruled out for this game in forward Keegan Murray. However, they do have two of their superstars listed as questionable. Both Zach LaVine and center Domantas Sabonis are on a day-to-day basis for this clash.

Now that’s concerning for Sacramento, given that both of them are quite important for their lineup. On one hand, we have LaVine, who is the team’s leading scorer with 27.4 points per game, and is questionable due to a back problem. On the other hand, Sabonis, who leads the team in rebounds with 14.2 per game, is probable with a rib injury. Now, what if they don’t play tonight? Will Sac-Town change its lineup?

Well, the stage is set for a high-intensity clash in Sacramento. Although Stephen Curry won’t take the court tonight, this should be an entertaining game.
