The Warriors’ offseason may have had tense moments. But the team didn’t seem affected. Their preseason opener against the Lakers was an example of their readiness. Stephen Curry scored 14 in just as many minutes, helping the Bay beat the Lakers by eight points. Each game is vital for the Warriors, who carry a core of veteran stars assisted by promising talent. Their next test comes tonight, when they face the Portland Trail Blazers.

With a completely healthy squad, the Warriors will feel confident facing Portland. They haven’t lost to the Blazers in the regular season since 2023. But will Curry be available to put on another splendid display? Nothing says he won’t. The Warriors’ eternal pillar is aching to get reps alongside his star teammates.
Steve Kerr has already confirmed his participation. “Warriors resumed preseason practice today at Chase Center ahead of their preseason matchup Wednesday with the Portland Trail Blazers. Speaking afterward, head coach Steve Kerr says Stephen Curry, Jimmy Butler, Draymond Green, and Al Horford will play,” Sam Gordon reported.

In just 14 minutes against the Lakers, Curry looked fantastic. He hit home on three of his 5 three-pointers and shot 71% from the field. Ideally, at his age, coaches might think about resting their stars to alleviate health concerns. The Warriors follow the opposite policy. As the regular season closes in, Steve Kerr plans on increasing Curry’s minutes.

If all goes to plan, the two-time MVP will feature more actively tonight. “We usually ramp [the veterans] up a little bit each game, so I would imagine it’ll be a little bit more than the other night, but I’ll wait to see what Rick says,” Kerr said about the Baby Face Assassin’s playing time. Not only him, but even Horford, Butler, and Green could spend more time on the floor.

Where to watch the Warriors vs Trail Blazers preseason game?
A few years ago, this would have been a marquee battle. Two stalwarts, Stephen Curry and Damian Lillard, always produce entertaining contests. While Dame is back in Portland, he is expected to miss the entire season recovering from an ACL tear. Moreover, the Blazers will also miss Scoot Henderson, their starting point guard mentored by Curry.

The Warriors should slide away easily. The Chase Center will still bring its wild energy. The Warriors host the Trail Blazers at 10 pm ET. Like every preseason game, Fubo TV will stream the matchup, while fans can also opt for the NBA League Pass to watch the game. The Warriors are the favorites, with Portland missing a bunch of their key players.
Steve Kerr is determined to establish consistency this season. So, although preseason, the Warriors will look to be sharp. Veterans could play more, polishing the system with the season days away. How do you expect them to approach this game? Let us know your views in the comments below.
