Ice Trae has truly turned up the heat this season. After looking helpless and not making it to the playoffs last season, the star has a lot of help this season. With the help of Clint Capela and Zaccharie Risacher in the frontcourt and Dyson Daniels in the backcourt, the Hawks indeed look stacked. Notably, this team, in the absence of Young, shocked the Celtics in the TD Garden. Anyway, the team has one nagging problem, which is Trae Young’s Achilles injury management.

The team has listed him multiple times on the injury report, citing his Achilles recovery. However, the star still managed to lace up at times. For tonight’s matchup, the team has listed him as Probable. Apart from him, the team has listed:

  • Jalen Johnson (Shoulder) – Out
  • Cody Zeller (Personal) – Out
  • Larry Nance (Metacarpal bone fracture) – Out
  • Kobe Bufkin (season-ending shoulder injury) – Out

On the other hand, the Rockets have a pretty healthy roster. Jabari Smith Jr., the team’s starting forward, hasn’t played the last four games. Smith broke his left hand during a shoot-around. The team wouldn’t reevaluate him for next 4-6 weeks. Apart from him, the team has listed Tari Eason out with a lower leg injury. Other than that, the Rockets have a completely healthy and thriving roster, waiting to decimate the Hawks.

This is a highly unpredictable team. One game they look utterly incompetent, the next game, they go to TD Garden and defeat the defending champions without Trae Young. The third year guar is currently averaging 12.9 ppg and 4.9 rpg. Today’s game, may be we can hear his roar!
