Anthony Edwards dusted his shoulder off after the free throw embarrassment. The Minnesota Timberwolves took on the Oklahoma City Thunder for the Western Conference leader clash. The Saturday night game went down the wire, and the win was a touch-and-go for both sides. However, the OKC came out on top after a blunder from Edwards at the FT line. While he was expected to vanish in embarrassment, Edwards dusted it off with a stern response.
Over the last few months, Edwards has been the talk of the NBA town. In the off-season, fans compared his game with Michael Jordan, with comparison videos on social media. Moreover, he proved to everyone that he was worth the hype with his insane balling skills regularly. But, tonight, the rising superstar gave the game away with a blunder.
The Wolves hosted the OKC for the Western Conference leader battle on Saturday night. The Wolves had the game completely in their hold with a decent lead. However, the OKC came back with a late lead in the fourth quarter, pushing the game into a nail-biter.

With less than 6 seconds left in the game, Anthony Edwards extracted a foul for three FTs, which would have tied the game. While the arena erupted in excitement for Edwards’ clutch move, he immediately disappointed the fans, missing all free throws. And the OKC went on to win a comfortable 102-97 margin.
Following the game, he addressed the press regarding the FT blunder and gave a stern response. He said, “Make them miss them. I wasn’t really disappointed in that. Either I was going to make them or miss them, it don’t really matter. I missed them tonight, but I’ll make them next time.”
