Damian Lillard left the NBA world clueless throughout the 2023 off-season with his trade intentions. And, finally, days before the season opener, the 7x NBA All-Star got his nod from the Milwaukee Bucks franchise. Since then, Lillard hasn’t looked back as he got what he wished for, a run at the championship. However, it didn’t sit well with one of his former teammates, as he gave his verdict ahead of his reunion game.

After yet another poor season with the Portland Trail Blazers, several reports stated that Lillard made his trade intensions clear with the management. The All-Star had warned the management that he would proceed with a trade out if they didn’t make significant change to the roster in the off-season. Eventually, he found his way out and let’s find out his ex-teammate’s remark.

Collins moved to the San Antonio Spurs in 2021 after spending 3 years with the Blazers. He commented on the big Bucks trade. Ahead of the Spurs’ game against the Blazers, Collins made his verdict. He said, “It’s definitely weird, it’s unfair… to be in the transition when he is not here is definitely different.”

Apart from that, he also shared a couple words about the 33-year-old. He said, “He is one of the most ambitious persons… We can down 10 with 2 minutes to go… He doesn’t care he thinks he can win the game. That’s contagious in the locker room when your leader has that attitude.”
