Despite his recent controversies, Ja Morant’s return to the hardwood has been iconic. In an entry resembling any Hollywood thriller, Ja Morant returned to his side struggling with back-to-back losses and took them to an astonishing last-moment victory. Morant was suspended for 25 games for displaying a firearm on Instagram Live a couple of times and he has now come back with a bang.

In his absence, the Memphis Grizzlies, standing at No.2 in the previous season, had a poor 6-19 record this season. Morant’s heroics didn’t just help the Grizzlies clinch a last-minute stunning victory but brought smiles to countless, including his sister.

As the Grizzlies were tied with the New Orleans Pelicans at 113-113, Morant dared the opponents to get hold of him. He raced, feinted, spun, and landed a floater to earn the win for his team as the Grizzlies won 113-115. Her sister Teniya took to social media to express her euphoria. She blasted the “goofies” and expressed love for her brother. “We all kept them!! Stay on that side!!! ION Hear Yall nomo Goofiesssss!” In another video posted on X, she said, “I Waited for This Day”.

She also wrote in another Instagram story, “12 time!! He’s back!! Stay on dat side.” Morant mesmerized the basketball fans as he crafted a masterpiece comeback 8n NBA history. He added 34 points, 6 rebounds, 8 assists, 2 steals and 1 block. He recharged the Grizzles who were struggling and had 51-31 record in the previous season. Desmond Bane was fighting for Grizzlies alone and he got the powerhouse back who averages 26.2 points and 8.2 assists. As her sister thought that Morant gave a perfect answer to the critics, the Grizzlies icon seems to be valuing personal connections too.

Ja Morant impresses as a player and a person

Morant didn’t face the charge of displaying a gun a couple of times alone. He was accused of hitting a teenager Morant maintained that he hit first in self-defense. He has been taking therapy sessions and talked about his basketball love in a post-game interview, “Basketball is my life, what I love is therapeutic for me and I am just excited to be back.”
