James Harden’s loss of $200 million

NBA athletes are paid hefty sums. That’s no secret! Despite that, $200 million is not a small sum for anyone in the world. The 34-year-old has been in the league since 2009 and signed with the 76ers in 2022. However, he has had issues with the front office since the very beginning of his tenure.

Although he didn’t shy away from letting out his true feelings about it over the last few months, now that he’s back with the team, Harden seems to be more articulate with his words. Last season, the 76ers reached the second round of playoffs, that’s exactly where he believes things took a turn for the worse.

Harden explained that after they lost to the Boston Celtics in 7 games, his extension deal took a backseat. A deal which was estimated to be around $200 million disappeared into thin air as per the 10x All-Star. With that, the relationship between the two entities turned sour and hasn’t recovered yet. With Harden bashing Morey openly in public and then missing team events recently, it went from bad to worse. However, The Beard is back where he belongs and he has been putting in hours of practice ahead of the fresh season.

While it is still unclear as to where this will go, Harden is trying to stay as focused as possible.
