Drawing parallel with headline-grabbing trade by the Portland Trail Blazers, he says, “I look at this sort of like how Portland did the Dame trade. I don’t think Philly is done wheeling and dealing.”

In pursuit of handing Harden his wish, the Sixers sent three players, James Harden, P.J. Tucker, and Filip Petru?ev, to the Los Angeles Clippers. In exchange, they received 5 players, multiple draft picks, and a swap. Notably, they received Marcus Morris, Nic Batum, Robert Covington, and KJ Martin to don their jerseys. Despite their elite days behind them, Philly’s new acquisitions are solid role players when utilized correctly. Furthermore, the 76ers get an unprotected first-round pick from 2028 and two second-round picks. Additionally, they also received a 2029 draft-pick swap and an additional 2026 first-rounder from the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The conclusion of the James Harden saga appears to be a satisfactory resolution. After all, the relationship between the superstar player and the franchise had deteriorated.
