James Harden & Kawhi Leonard want the Clippers

Harden?s got an illustrious 14-year NBA career. However, it seems incomplete without an NBA championship ring. Harden?s doing the best he can to get there. Hence the desperate trade request. But the Clippers could be less than interested in acquiring Harden. In fact, they haven?t even made a low-ball offer to the Philadelphia 76ers yet.?

Meanwhile, Kawhi Leonard, Clippers? small forward, is now eligible for a contract extension. Leonard was the LA Clipper’s most coveted acquisition. They brought in Leonard, thinking he?ll lead the Clippers to a championship win. And they were absolutely right. Leonard, at his peak, was a tough player to pin down.

But do the Clippers want them?

But whether the Clippers want more years on their 2x NBA champion Kawhi Leonard remains. Leonard for sure would love a contract extension in his closing years, but the Clippers are in no rush.

ESPN?s Youngmisuk on the Lowe Post Podcast made it very clear, ?I hear it is kind of quiet right now. There is no rush on an extension for Kwahi Lenord, and then Paul George will be eligible in September.?

Kawhi Leonard’s injuries and missed playoffs may have been a pivotal factor in the extension delay. Leonard at thirty-two is definitely on the clock here. Would the Clippers want another 4-year extension on Leonard in his late thirties when he already isn’t healthy enough to play right now?

Whatever the Clippers wish to do with James Harden or Kawhi Leonard, or even Paul George, they need to do it soon. They?ve been dormant forever and their silence on the contract extensions and the trade requests is frustrating. However, the ball is in the franchise?s court and the players can do nothing but wait.?
