The Golden State Warriors faced the Boston Celtics, and Stephen Curry struck in the last moments to snatch victory from the jaws of his opponents. Warriors posted a 132-126 win after trailing in the third quarter. The epic battle followed a dismal outing for Steph Curry in the last match when he snapped his grand 3-pointer streak. The master of the craft had to face a hard time after scoring his 3500th 3-pointer. He bounced back with his trademark confidence and skill.

But before that, he had a bitter pill to swallow from the Celtics star Jaylen Brown. The two have had an uneasy relationship since an event almost five years back. Jaylen did well for the Celtics in the third quarter before he decided to settle scores of the past. He did that in style before the Warriors legend roared back with his performance and the tongue.

Upping the ante against the Warriors, Old Man helped his team to get ahead by 13 points in the third quarter. He chose to play it cool following his successful strike and kept the celebratory actions to a minimum. JB did the “too little celebration” and Curry showed surprise as he was given a foul by the referee for making contact.

The two have a history of the same. Brown was a rookie when he played his first game against the Warriors in 2017 and when Curry hit a 3-pointer he made a stop-talking gesture to Brown. In the back and forth between the two stars, the latest was witnessed in the ongoing encounter. Curry got the fifth foul in the six minutes. He then went off, Cory Joseph replaced him and Curry returned in the fourth quarter later.

Jaylen Brown did well for his team. He scored 28 points, 8 rebounds, and 7 assists. He helped his team score and fended Curry off. But as Curry returned in the fourth quarter to score 33 points, 3 rebounds, and 6 assists, he answered Brown in style.

Stephen Curry’s befitting response

With 12 seconds left in the game, Curry got a pass from Chris Paul to score a 3-pointer. He took the Warriors to victory as he shredded to pieces the 5 winning streak of the Celtics. He walked past Brown as he was doing the magic. He said, “But I am small.”

A day after coach Steve Kerr said that Curry needed support as he failed to score a 3-pointer, he was all praise for the veteran. He called his last-moment 3-pointer insane- the catch, shoot, and arc. Further, he added, “The guy’s magical. I can’t explain it. That’s just the kind of stuff he does.”
