JJ Redick gets blunt after the embarrassing loss against the Spurs. Heading into the locker room after the first half, the LA Lakers held a 9-point lead. And, at the final buzzer, the Spurs stood tall with a 126-102 win. Well, this isn’t the first time the LakeShow suffered a similar defeat. In fact, hours before the game, even LeBron James addressed it on a lighter note. However, Redick doesn’t seem to take the topic lightly as he dropped a reality check on the Lakers.

Six players, including everyone on the starting lineup, scored in double digits for the Spurs. Moreover, the Lakers conceded 72 points in the second half while they managed to score only 40 points and 13 of them came in the crucial last quarter. So, the LA side clearly struggled on the defensive end. Redick, watching it from the sidelines, dropped a six-word shocker, saying, There’s no one’s in the paint for us,” after the game.

Last night, it wasn’t an easy affair, taking on Victor Wembanyama. The 7 ‘4 sophomore has had a dominating season, effortlessly dismantling teams near the paint.
