Time and again, LeBron James has shown that age is not a factor for him. Despite nearing 40, his demand remains as high as ever as the Los Angeles Lakers want him to retire there. However, King James has a slew of lucrative offers coming his way. Despite being in the first year of his two-year extension with the Lakers in 2022, LBJ might be headed to greener pastures next season. In effect, it can squander Los Angeles’s effort to retain him and there’s good reason for it.

A  legit shot at an NBA championship might be enough cause for him to jump ship. In the most recent episode, KOC and Big Wos discuss why Joel Embiid can fill in where Anthony Davis is lacking. “Embiid like, you think about AD [Anthony Davis] lost the three-point shot, well Embiid’s got it,” said KOC.

While Woss added, “LeBron has become a much better spot up shooter; he shot over 40% this year. It’s insane LeBron would be a major contributor to winning on a team like that and so yeah that’s pretty exciting stuff.” The hosts were discussing the amount of cap space the Philadelphia 76ers have (which is slated to be $58.4 million) with which they can lure in top level talent such as Paul Goerge and LeBron to have a shot at the Larry O’Brien trophy.

To put things in perspective Embiid and Bron along with Tyrese Maxey would legitimately make the Sixers a perimeter threat with added size. Right now, it is still undeniable that AD is an elite two-way player. However, this year he fell short in the three-point range shooting only 27.4%.

Is a fifth ring possible for LeBron James this season?

The Lakers have climbed to the 8th seed with their win against the Memphis Grizzlies today and are likely to stay there. With only one game left game left this season against the New Orleans Pelicans the Lakers will face the Phoenix Suns in their first play-in game. If they defeat the Suns Bron’s experience will help him against the younger Minnesota Timberwolves team in the first round.

However, the main challenge for them remains the defending champions the Denver Nuggets led by Nikola Jokic. Last year, King James and the Lakers were swept in the Western Conference finals by them and even this year, the Joker and Jamal Murray stand in the way of his 5th ring. However, post-season LeBron James is a different beast so only time can tell. What do you think? Let us know in the comments.
