22-year-old star Jonathan Kuminga created massive waves in the NBA world with his recent statement. The Golden State Warriors‘ rising star reportedly hit back at his star head coach Steve Kerr following the game, leaving the Dub Nation in disbelief. A report stated that Kuminga has lost trust in Kerr following the loss against the Denver Nuggets. On top of it, something else that he did further stirred the fans’ emotions ahead of the Friday night game against the Detroit Pistons.

Hours after The Athletic report that quoted him saying he had lost faith in his coach, the rising star came up with another surprise. Kuminga, who was known for his dreadlock hairstyle, walked into the Chase Center with a fresh cut. The youngster got rid of his dreadlocks and came up for throw-downs with a clean short haircut.

This didn’t sit well with the fans online, as they swarmed the video clip with responses. One user said, “Oh this man cut his own hair….they gotta have someone follow him home after the game, my guy is calling out for help.”

Here are some more reactions.

The loss against the Nuggets hasn’t been an easy one for the Warriors. The team threw it all away despite having an 18-point lead with 7 minutes left in the game. The Warriors defense couldn’t stand a chance against the Nuggets’ unstoppable 25-4 run at the end. And, it was Steve Kerr, who took all the blow for benching Kuminga throughout the fourth quarter. Now, the 22-year-old star’s recent decision left the NBA world in confusion.

While some fans felt Kuminga’s pleasant mood in the video was a positive sign for the Warriors, others felt the star was going through a tough time.

Will he get an extended time on the floor in tonight’s game after the trust fiasco? Only time will tell.

In response, Kerr hit back at the youngster. “I played 15 years and all 15 I was frustrated with my playing time,” he said as reported by Anthony Slater of The Athletic.

These volleys between Kuminga and Kerr have only raised doubts about a trade in the coming future.
