The woman who holds the key to Josh Hart’s heart is Shannon Phillips. She was born on 26th May, 1995, in Greenbelt, Maryland. Phillips and Hart have known each other since they were teenagers. They are high school sweethearts, having started dating in the 10th grade.

After graduating high school, Hart moved to Pennsylvania to play for the Villanova Wildcats, while Phillips remained in Maryland to play soccer for the University of Maryland. Despite the long distance, their relationship has grown stronger since. And on 26th December, 2020, after almost 9 years of dating, Josh Hart decided to propose to Phillips.

In an interview with Southern Bride, Josh Hart also revealed that JJ Redick and his wife had a big role in his proposal story. He said, “Shannon and Chelsea (JJ Redick’s wife) were going back and forth–you know, doing the girl thing with jewelry–and Shannon looked at me jokingly but half-serious and said, ‘You should talk to Chelsea about rings when you want to do it.’ So a day or two later, I started texting Chelsea about rings and ended up FaceTiming her at the jeweler’s.”
