While Dame gave Cronin a list of teams he wanted to be traded to, the Blazers’ GM flat-out disagreed to adhere to his demands.

Dame and his agent Aaron Goodwin went on record, saying he would only play for the Miami Heat. However, the potential to acquire a 7-time All-Star attracted various suitors, with the Toronto Raptors being the front-runner in the past week.?During a recent sit-down with Chris Hayes on Bucks Media Day, Dame Time recalled a hilarious prank pulled by Toronto Raptors forward OG Anunoby. He revealed that he received an unexpected text message from Anunoby reading ?Welcome to Toronto?. The text had the Oakland native panicking since he only really wanted to play for the Heats.

However, it turns out the stoic, and deadpan Anunoby can pull off jokes really well. To add on, OG did not pick up the phone when a distressed Dame called for the first time. However, he eventually heard back from the 26YO forward, who could not help but burst out laughing. Dame said, “He was laughing, and I was like OK. It just caught me off guard. It can happen like that.”

Although Dame did not get his wish to play alongside Jimmy Butler, many will agree that he got an even better deal.
