A supposed post from the superstar James Harden?raised a few eyebrows. To make it worse, the newest recruit of the 76ers shared it and was subjected to mockery because of that.

Why did NBA fans mock the teammate of Joel Embiid?

With the ongoing drama around Harden’s future with the 76ers, a social media post went viral. It was assumed that the former MVP had shared a costume that he would wear in case the trade failed. That came across as an attempt to tarnish the franchise’s image.

Later, that post turned out to be fake. Without knowing the truth, Patrick Beverley, who joined the team this off-season, shared the post from his account. He captioned it, “He funny asl,”?despite being aware of the heated situation between Harden and the 76ers.

Beverley, much to everyone’s surprise, showed keen interest in the post. His lack of understanding of the truth regarding it did not go unnoticed.

The fans were quick to react to it and ridiculed Patrick for his action.

One fan commented, “Just got sacked,??referring to how the franchise may react to it. He indicated that they could sack Patrick Beverley soon because of this.

A number of fans tried to tell him that it was a fake post.

Another one did the same, stating “Fake acc,” in the comments. A few fans called him out for sharing the post without fact-checking.

An NBA fan poked fun at him for falling for a fake post. One even mocked him by citing an NBA reference: “You just got hoooped.”
