Candidly, KD says, “As I get older in the league and the league is getting younger, I tend to think about retirement more.” And he looked at Stephen Curry‘s mom, Sonya, and said, “I don’t know how Steph is about that.”

Immediately, she replied, “Oh! he is thinking,” with a laugh.

Nevertheless, KD turned around and dropped a positive statement, saying, “It creeps in my mind for sure. I honestly don’t know what I’ll do. I have a lot of different interests. I definitely want to stay around the game. I want to continue to build out the philanthropy and do stuff in our hometown and work with my mom and my aunt.”

Not long ago, Kevin Durant answered a similar question. ESPN’s Malika Andrews asked KD if he would retire as a Phoenix Suns player. At that time, the superstar didn’t necessarily have an answer, as he slipped out with a puzzling reply. He said, “Right now I would say yes, but that’s just a figure of speech. I can’t know what’s going to happen”.

However, this time Durant dropped a more personalized response assured of playing a bit more of professional balling. But what about Team USA?

Will Kevin Durant play in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics?

Kevin Durant will turn 39 years old during the 2028 Olympics. The exact age at which LeBron James participated in the Paris Olympics and won the MVP award. Given the advancements in injury recovery and medical attention, Durant has a high chance of staying fit until the next Olympics.

Moreover, during this Olympic campaign, KD broke two records. First, he broke the WNBA legend Lisa Leslie’s all-time Olympic scoring record. And, following that, he broke Carmelo Anthony‘s record for most medals (3 golds, 1 bronze) with his fourth gold in the recently concluded event. If the superstar pushed to play for another Olympics, he could further exploit his stats. However, it all depends on the superstar’s state of mind.
