The Phoenix Suns have been in a slump lately winning just three games out of their last ten fixtures. This has led to speculations from the fans and media alike about a problem within the Big Three of Phoenix. But, is that truly the case? Well, the trio of Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, and Bradley Beal have had their fair share of issues, like limited playing time together and even poor form.

Recently, after their defeat against the Pacers, a picture of Durant and Booker went viral where the duo was seen laughing despite their team trailing with two seconds on the clock. This sparked the speculations even further. However, now after their latest victory against the Hawks, Both Durant and Booker have cleared the air about the seemingly outcasted teammate, Bradley Beal.

The Slim Reaper reposted a picture tweeted by the Suns captioned “The Vet and the Rook.” To which KD wrote “Vibes @suns” indicating the mood in the camp is great amid the rumors of the trio not being happy together. Whereas Booker, after the game, shared with the media that Beal knows his spot. This comes after the veteran came off the bench again, assuming his new impact player role.

Booker compared himself with Beal saying, “I go through it sometime too, when you take 2 shots in a row and you’re like, ‘Man, I’m out here with KD and Brad, I need to get them involved’…not even having that on your conscious and just getting to play free can do a lot for anybody.” Suggesting playing their own game will benefit the whole team and appreciated Beal for showing professionalism, even after being pushed to the bench.

What seems to be the problem amongst the Suns’ Big Three?

Well, injuries have been the major concern limiting their time on the court together. But, there have been other problems as well. The first is that the trio hasn’t been able to figure out a way to get the best out of each other together. While their numbers are amazing, the three don’t seem comfortable on the hardwood when playing together.

Mark Budenholzer’s recent move of using Beal off the bench has yielded some good results. The three-time All-Star has responded with great performances even though he isn’t particularly impressed with the decision. “It’s something that is going to take some time,” said the Suns head coach. He further added it’s a move that seems like the best option at the moment for the team.

Furthermore, Nurkic has also been poor in the post this season, further adding to Phoenix’s woes. The next steps for the Suns could be making minor tweaks in their lineup otherwise, trade seems like the only step that can help them solve their problems. But, as of now, Budenholzer is trying to make things work between the big three as the Suns chase a deep playoff run at least.
