Phoenix Suns player Kevin Durant recently succeeded in adding a new record to his resume. His journey of over 14 years, during which he delivered a stellar performance on the offensive front, paid off during a recent game against the Philadelphia 76ers. By adding 22 points during the game, Durant brought his All-Time points total to 28,610, allowing him to surpass Shaquille O’Neal and secure the 8 rank on the NBA’s All-Time Scorers elite list.

The feat was touched upon during the latest episode of Chris Broussard and Rob Parker’s ‘The Odd Couple’ Podcast. Discussing his points total, the duo conversed over Durant’s final years in the NBA and his journey so far. Herein, Rob Parker proceeded to opine on what he feels when thinking about Kevin Durant’s legacy.

“I call Kevin Durant the MSOAT: the ‘Most Sensitive of All Time’” said Parker. “He’s the MSOAT, not the GOAT”. Parker stated that his opinion stemmed from the fact that Durant is an individual who doesn’t handle criticism well. While he acknowledges Durant as a “great player”, the columnist also believes that the NBA player is a “tick under because of the other baggage” within him.

Despite all that he has achieved in his decade long career, Kevin Durant’s resume comes off as “messy” to Rob Parker. “If you want to nitpick about his legacy, you could nitpick how many championships would he really have if he didn’t go to Golden State.” Parker continued. “Maybe he doesn’t win any”. This is in complete contrast to the legacy created by Shaquille O’Neal, who fans feel deserved the four championship wins that came his way during his time with the Los Angles Lakers and the Miami Heat.

But then again, Kevin Durant’s brief tenure with the Golden State Warriors has been a matter of discussion amongst NBA enthusiasts for quite some time now. USA Today reporter Mark Medina has even gone as far as to call the team acquiring KD “a cheat code”. Among the many criticisms he receives, Durant has also ensured to respond back at times.

Kevin Durant once hit back at Charles Barkley for calling him ‘sensitive’

Chris Broussard and Rob Parker aren’t the only individuals who feel that Kevin Durant possesses a ‘sensitive’ nature. One among the many in the NBA fraternity agreeing with the two is former 76ers legend Charles Barkley. Similar to the hosts of ‘The Odd Couple’, Barkley acknowledged Durant’s greatness, but also questioned how useful he was for the Warriors. After Durant responded to this criticism, the former NBA star probably acknowledged that criticism is not the power forward’s forte.

During his interview with 60 Minutes last year, Barkley brought up Durant and stated “He’s very sensitive. Great player. He’s part of that generation who think he can’t be criticized. He’s never looked in the mirror and says ‘Man, is that a fair criticism?'”.
