The Los Angeles Lakers got an early jump, finishing the first quarter with a 10-point lead. Even though the Suns tried to rally back, the star tandem of Los Angeles did their best to maintain the upper hand.

While Kevin Durant and Devin Booker did their best to cut into that deficit, a scary play by Jaxson Hayes on Devin Booker had many fans angry. During the second quarter, Hayes dove for the ball.

However, the way he landed on the floor, Hayes also managed to entangle Booker’s right leg. Which may have had an impact on his ankle. Fans in the arena let out a gasp while many on social media went on to crucify Hayes. 

One user on X tweeted, “The hell was Jaxson Hayes doing there?”

While another fan commented, “A few minutes before that booker dove for a 50/50 that was nowhere near as dangerous as that and was called a foul. Smh.”

It took a while for Devin Booker to get up but he was still in the game to end the first half. But you can be sure that the Suns’ medical staff will be having a look at Booker’s leg and especially, his ankle.

Fans lash out at Hayes

Fans on social media were not at all happy about Devin Booker getting tangled up with Jaxson Hayes. This led to many of them calling out Hayes over that play.

One fan tweeted, “It’s always Jaxon Hayes doing these things to lol.”

While another fan commented, “JAXSON HAYES IS A DIRTY PLAYER GET HIM OUT OF THE LEAGUE.”
