The 2021-2022 preseason game between the Lakers and Golden State Warriors somewhat had the same trajectory. With the much-awaited debut of the “Big 3”, Anthony Davis, LeBron James, and Russell Westbrook, there was some hope for the Lakers in the last preseason game of the year. However, after today’s repeated losses, it’s right to go down memory lane a bit.

Even though the Warriors didn’t play Stephen Curry and Draymond Green last season, the Lakers dropped their fifth point to these visitors. The story was repeated. However, this time the “old” team of Golden Boys had to face a LeBron James-less team. Still, both teams got a level field since Draymond Green was also not playing.

Although playing in preseason and regular season are not the same thing, Stephen Curry and Co. have been practicing quite hard for months. With that said, it was also the first Warriors game for Chris Paul. And fans made it a point to create a commotion over it: “Lakers down against a retirement home warriors their season is cooked.”

With just 13 minutes on court, the 38-year-old managed to score 6 points and 5 assists. Klay Thompson and Jonathan Kuminga also made their mark in tonight’s match.
