The Los Angeles Lakers, though not as bad as the LA Clippers, have had their fair share of injuries. But in recent days, it seems like the Clippers’ bad luck has transferred onto LeBron James and the team. Jarred Vanderbilt and Rui Hachimura had been out for a long time. And though everyone was hopeful of Vando making it in time for his 2023-2024 debut, they had to be disappointed.
So that’s two players already out of the question. The next on the list was Taurean Prince. Knee soreness prevented him from being taken out of the starting lineup. And now, the Lakers are very well on their way to becoming one more player short.

The Lakers’ latest injury update makes them shorthanded
The latest injury update given out by coach Darvin Ham is concerning for the Lakers fans. Though LeBron’s Lakers are very well-stocked in the talent department, not having enough players to take the court can prove to be a headache. Coach Ham seems to be exactly in this situation right about now.
Gabe Vincent has joined the injured list, bringing the total number of sidelined players to four, as reported by NBA journalist Dave McMenamin.
The Lakers say that Gabe Vincent will be out the next two weeks with his left knee effusion. After two weeks he’ll be re-evaluated and return to play options will be assessed at that time.

The Lakers had signed Vincent this offseason for a 3-year $33 million contract. During his time with the Heat, Gabe scored a team-high 23 points in a 111-108 win over Denver in Game 2 of the 2023 NBA Finals. His career averages are 7.6 points, 2.3 assists, and 1.7 rebounds in 21 minutes of a game.
Vincent had been struggling for some time now. Hopefully, he can come back stronger soon. On a different note, though, the infamous Clippers vs Lakers game is still fresh in everyone’s minds.
“We don’t take these moments for granted”: LeBron James has a different outlook on matches
In an 82-game event, it’s easy to think of the wins and losses as just another game. But when the LA Lakers ended an 11-game losing streak to the “other” LA team, the Clippers, even James felt the weight of it. Looking back on the win against the Clippers, LeBron said after the game that it means a lot more when competing against the best talents the NBA has to offer.

Kawhi Leonard and Paul George are, without any doubt, two of the greatest talents in the NBA now. And King James wholeheartedly agrees. ” (Paul George) and Kawhi and (Russell Westbrook) are three of the best this league has ever seen. To be able to be on the floor against them and compete … We don’t take those moments for granted.”
LeBron’s alley-oop dunk toward the closing quarter will be a moment that no one will forget for a long time now. The timely steal on Leonard by Reaves and the backhand lob-pass to James was an epic moment. Bron’s son, Bronny himself couldn’t believe his father had just slam-dunked that shot. We are right there with you Bronny.
