New update may sink LeBron James’ heart

The Lakers took on the Pelicans in the semi-final clash and took home a sweet victory. The Pelicans didn’t stand a chance against the LA side as the lead kept exploding. LeBron James kick-started with a hat-trick of three-pointers to set the stage for the big game. With the win, the Lakers now have an opportunity to become the first team in the NBA to win the In-season title.

However, the In-season Finals victory might not bring the joy of winning the NBA trophy for the Lakers players and fans.

The Lakers are among the most successful teams in the NBA with 17 titles. Moreover, each title has a hanging banner of its own at the Crypto.com arena rafters. However, a senior reporter, Arash Markazi, posted a piece of heart-breaking news to the Lakers fans. The post read, “I’m told the Lakers currently have no plans to change their stance on only hanging banners for NBA championships. They don’t hang banners for Western Conference titles, Pacific Division titles and (for now) potential NBA In-Season Tournament titles, only NBA titles.”

LeBron James is one of the most experienced players in the Lakers unit, in terms of playoff attendance. While many youngsters haven’t played in the playoffs, James felt the In-season knockout games are great set-up, reported Bleacher Report. He added, [In-season] playoff atmosphere so for a lot of guys that either have not been part of the postseason… that kind of had that feeling to us… I think guys are getting into a rhythm.”
