American stand-up comedian Mike Epps has been the talk of the town over the past few days as his fourth Netflix special has recently hit the streaming service. Titled ‘Mike Epps: Ready To Sell Out’, the show has received reviews from all sides since its release last week. While many people might have immediately jumped in to watch the special, others, including Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James, took their sweet time. The NBA athlete seems to have finally got the time to take a glance at the stand-up comedian’s work, and he is not hesitating to let his fans know about his thoughts.

LeBron James took to his official X (formerly Twitter) account to write: “Mike Epps “Ready to Sellout” new stand up special on Netflix is FKN HILARIOUS!!!!!”. The caption was followed by an astonishing 29 laughing emojis. From the looks of it, the 39-year-old athlete seems to be having a lot of fun in watching what Epps has had to offer.

While the show certainly seemed to have tickled James’ funny bones, it did not seem to have the same effect on the others. The NBA star’s followers were quick to attack him on his review, with one of them writing “You’re a sellout sadly” in the comments section.

Judging from the reaction, the fan was less concerned about what James was enjoying and more about the fact that the player seemed to be enjoying himself in the aftermath of the Lakers recent loss against the Suns. While his reaction to the same seems justified, however, one might make the conclusion that what happened was not entirely the four time NBA champion’s fault. LeBron pulled off an impressive score of 28 points, 7 rebounds and 12 assists during the game. While shooting from the field, he made about 63% of the shots. Even though the player was successful in making a worthwhile contribution to the game, this was just one of those times when the opposing team made the better effort in putting up the more impressive score.

Other fans make their alleged criticism of LeBron James clear

The above comment left by the X (formerly Twitter) user was not the only one. Inspired by the action, many other people swarmed into the comments section to criticize LeBron James and the Lakers recent performance.

A follower replied to the billionaire with a gif and a caption that read “If Bron don’t gaf about bout that L neither do we, ring 5 soon”.

By using the player’s own words against him, another follower put out an alleged sarcastic reply that read: “Lakers season is looking hilarious right now unless something changes!”

In continuing the trend of bashing the player for his team’s recent performance, another follower wrote “You’re watching Netflix after getting destroyed by the suns instead of practicing?” followed by a laughing emoji.

Just as LeBron provided his review on the show, another person chose to provide his review on the Lakers by writing “is the season over bron? it feels like you guys are done”

For someone who just wanted to let people know his honest thoughts on a show, LeBron James does not seem to receiving such a good reception.
