LaMelo Ball signed a contract with the sporting goods giant, Puma, a few years ago. The 6’7 point guard signed a $100 million deal with the company for his signature shoe. And now, the third iteration of the shoe has been on the market for quite some time, while also landing in the hands of the next generation of aspiring hoop fans.
Having retired from the league for a couple of years now, Ball’s former teammate recently gave a shout-out to the Charlotte Hornets‘ star point guard. Mainly for providing young kids in his training camp with his signature sneakers and drips.

Isaiah Thomas was once known as ‘The King of the Fourth’ around the league. And for good reason. Thomas, despite being an undersized 5’9 guard, was an absolute menace in the league during his time with the Boston Celtics. However, fans never got to see the same Thomas ever again.

In the video, Thomas could be seen training young kids on the fundamentals of basketball. Once a two-time All-Star and one of the leading scorers in the league, Thomas surely would have more than some insight to offer.
In the video, he could be seen training them, explaining the basics, and hitting the hardwood floor with the kids. Later on, he could be seen dragging a big box full of sneakers and some other drips for the young kids.
Thomas was clearly thankful to Ball, a player that many young kids look up to and dream of making it in the league like him.

He averaged 28.9 PPG in a season with the Celtics. However, he also decided to put off a much-needed surgery he had to undergo. Alas, after that surgery, Thomas was never the same and wasn’t given the same chance and freedom that he had with the Celtics.
But, since then, Thomas has turned things around by diving into the analytical part of the sport and yes; training the next generation of players.
