One such instance is Damar Hamlin, who has been on an unbelievable journey himself. Last year in January, when the Buffalo Bills were facing the Cincinnati Bengals, Hamlin was the safety for the Braves and collapsed in front of 24 Million viewers. Later upon diagnosis, it was confirmed that he had suffered a Cardiac Arrest.

Months leading up to the near-fatal event, Hamlin is back on the field making a comeback for the ages. In a recent interview with TMZ, he shared how King James has always been an inspiration to him, “Bron is somebody I have always looked up to. He’s probably been my favorite athlete my entire life.”

He further acknowledged how LBJ’s actions on and off camera have always inspired him to do the “right’ thing” and tries to “lead by example”. In the end, he admitted that meeting one’s “idols” and discovering that they’re “caring” human beings is always a treat. Hamlin, who is a nominee for the ‘Comeback Player of the Year’ award, felt ‘respected’ by LBJ, and his humility is what makes him so well-liked.
