Closer to the play-ins, enjoying a relatively good streak, and a great game on Sunday later, LeBron James is feeling the fatigue. In his 21st season, questions still linger if he can keep up the pace. The doubts tend to crop up most when the Lakers are on the road. After a spectacular 150-145 win at home, the 39-year-old admitted that season was getting to him.
In the post-game presser, he was asked what makes him pause and take stock. “I’m exhausted,” he confessed. “So that’s what stops me and be like, ‘okay, I need to get home and get some rest and get ready for this road trip.'” He went on to talk about the level of competition in the league and all the offensive powerhouses among their rivals.
He, however, says that the Lakers are playing at their offensive best, which they intend to show in their next away game. The Bucks will host the Lakers at Fiserv Forum on Tuesday. With a strong team, James is staying in a good mental headspace irrespective of the exhaustion.

“It’s been flip-flopping so much over the last few weeks, I’ve kind of stopped looking at it.” The Lakers and Bron have been subjected to some fair degree of criticism for their inconsistent streak. Their issues became glaring when playing road games. Moreover, James came off an injury, making the Lakers’ dependence on him a problem. He, however, shuts out the noise. “Just kind of just like focusing on each game at a time.”
The Lakers are currently 12-20 on the road but 27-12 before the Los Angeles crowd. Analysts noted the load is reduced on James and it’s making a difference in the team record as well. While his teammates are carrying the games, James is also grappling with his exhaustion by relying on them.

D’Angelo Russell is becoming the new record-maker in the franchise setting the team record for most 3-pointers in a single season when the Lakers won 101-94 over the 76ers. That game and this time too, Spencer Dinwiddie also established himself as an elite scorer for the team who match Bron.
