Tensions boiled over for LeBron James today. The wholesome pregame moment with his family was forgotten. He had a bone to pick with the referees. Social media is dissecting the moment caught on camera where James is making his case to the ref in a very heated manner. It’s not often he’s this angry but it doesn’t make a difference.

The officiant remains blank-faced and walks away without resolving the issue. It prompted a few Lakers fans to bring up the old claim that officiants remain biased against James.

The Lakers won 150-145 against the Pacers and James was responsible for 26 points in that. He also made 10 assists and 5 rebounds in 38 minutes. But one moment during the game riled him and Lakers fans up.

Some pointed out that Bron couldn’t get the ball immediately to inbound it because the Indy player touched it. They left it to the ref to make the call. Fans noted that was a delaying tactic that let the Pacers recalibrate their defense. It ultimately didn’t matter though.

The Lakers were leading 142-136 when James apparently broke down the rules to the ref. Whether they’re leading or not, he couldn’t let it pass. This outburst was a sharp contrast to his mood pregame.

A mood-switch for LeBron James

James wasn’t just hyped and energetic going into this game. He was sweet and cool because his family was in Crypto.com Arena cheering the Purple and Gold. His nine-year-old daughter, Zhuri summoned him courtside and set a cute moment of hugs and kisses between her parents, LeBron and Savannah.

During that exchange, Zhuri is holding her dad’s hand and telling him something inaudible. That is a private moment between father and daughter that we’re content not finding out. It must have been sweet enough for Bron to go back to work smiling like a sappy dad.
