LeBron James has long showcased his passion for the NFL. While he was a standout wide receiver in high school, he shifted his focus to basketball after his junior year. Yet, his love for the sport remains palpable through active engagement on social media, weekly NFL predictions, and unwavering support for his cherished teams. Hailing from Cleveland, LeBron has maintained a soft spot for the Cleveland Browns. Since Odell Beckham Jr. joined the Browns in 2019, James has closely monitored his journey, publicly endorsing the Baltimore Ravens’ star on several occasions.

Although Beckham weathered a string of injury-laden seasons, his triumphant return to form has earned a commendation from the Akron Hammer for his sheer “resilience”.

OBJ went down with a torn ACL during Super Bowl LVI when he was a wide receiver for the Los Angeles Rams. During the game, Beckham caught two of his three targets for 52 yards, including a 17-yard reception from Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford. However, the fateful event happened when he landed awkwardly and hurt his left knee while trying to take a catch. He was then forced to sit out the entire 2022 campaign because of the knee injury. However, the Rams went on to win 23?20 against the Cincinnati Bengals at the SoFi Stadium.

He then signed a one-year contract with the Baltimore Ravens in April. He recorded 116 yards on 4 catches during Thursday Night Football, his best game since the Week 2 game with the?Cleveland Browns in 2019.

This resurgence caught the attention of King James, who in a post-game interview remarked, “I mean you just start from injury… I think at that point he was on his way to a Super Bowl MVP, you know, playing at a high level… and you know to see him go down… like you said the resilience and what he’s done to overcome that injury to being back looking like himself once again.”

He added, “I’m just happy to see him back on the field, though. It’s always good when Odell’s on the field, that’s for sure.” The Ravens will face off against the Los Angeles Chargers on November 26, 2023, marking OBJ’s first game at SoFi Stadium since the injury.

As for James, he is having one of the best years of his career. At 38, he is averaging age-defying numbers while playing full minutes. Along with putting up monster numbers, he is also breaking one record after another.

This season, he passed Hall of Famer Jason Kidd in career triple-doubles after posting his 108th triple-double. He then surpassed Hall of Famer Clyde Drexler (2,207) in career steals, jumping to the 8th spot on the all-steals list. Recently, he reached a career milestone after mustering 39,000 career points?the first and only person to do that.
