NBA star LeBron James’ son, Bronny, has been having a tough college season at USC. Out of the 22 games in which he has appeared in, the 19-year-old has only managed to average 4.8 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 2.4 assists. Given the speculation that he may be looking to enter the NBA draft within the foreseeable future, many LeBron fans have been waiting for his son to deliver some memorable performances to increase his likelihood of being selected. Despite allegedly being under enormous pressure to do well, the young athlete is doing his best to not fail them.

A few hours ago, a clip from the recent USC Trojans vs Arizona Wildcats game started to go viral. It featured Bronny James blocking a pass made by his rivals and taking the ball in his control. Onlookers watched in awe as the player dashed across the other end of the court, made a high leap, and delivered the ball through the hoop. The move, which added two additional points to his team’s total, earned the respect of many fans. Before they could come into focus, however, the cameras panned toward the courtside seats where LeBron James was sitting. Fiddling around with a pipe in his mouth, the four-time NBA champion seemed to have a neutral expression on his face after witnessing his son’s feat.

LeBron James was not the only family member who was seen to be in attendance. Fans also managed to catch a glimpse of the NBA player’s wife Savannah, sitting across from him whilst donning a USC Trojans cap. With both his parents supporting him, Bronny ended up scoring 5 points, 6 rebounds and 1 assist during his limited minutes. In the end, the Trojans took home the win with a score of 78-65.

LeBron James has often made it a priority to attend as many of his son’s games as he could. This was the same person who, in a reported statement back in December, had stated that he would be attending Bronny’s first USC game even if it came at the expense of missing out on a Lakers game. If that is not unconditional love, then what is?

LeBron James’ son continues to be on limited minutes against Arizona

Over the past five games, Bronny had accumulated a score of just 7,2,2,2 and 0 points. While some of it can be attributed to his lack of scoring ability, another factor that is a big contributor to the same is the player’s low playtime. The same five games mentioned above had Bronny playing for an average time of 15.2 minutes.

The Trojans have been working for quite some time now to get themselves out of a fix. Having won only 14 of their 31 games, the team has had to work around maintaining starting lineups and rotations amongst players who are prone to frequent injuries and never manage to find a rhythm. This may result in Bronny James not getting enough attention. Furthermore, due to his cardiac arrest back in July, Bronny’s team is being conscious to not exert the player beyond his means.
