The 234 days are finally up and for the first time in the 2023-24 NBA Season, Ja Morant will step onto the court. It is a moment that everyone has been waiting for, especially his team. With him on the sidelines, the Memphis Grizzlies have been struggling to post wins. They occupy the 13th position in the standings, with 19 losses and 6 wins.

While his much-awaited has left many on the tip of their seat, his Western Conference rival LeBron James had some words for the Grizzlies star’s return.

Morant was suspended following his gun incident on Instagram Livestream. Due to the infamous incident, he was handed a 25-game suspension that cost the Grizzlies star $7,084,427. Nonetheless, Ja’s long wait finally comes to its final day as he takes on the Pelicans. While he may have required very little motivation upon his NBA Return, Morant received a heartfelt message from the ‘King’ himself. Hours before his season debut, LeBron James shared some wise words for the 24-year-old suspended star.

Welcome back!!”, said the Lakers star while also adding, “Go be GREAT again!!”. As the anticipation runs high for Morant’s return, it is quite evident that everyone apart from LeBron is also eager to watch the Grizzlies star return to NBA Action. With James and other fans closely monitoring Morant’s return, it was LeBron himself who faced Ja the last time on an NBA court before his hefty suspension.

The 6’2″ NBA All-Star led the Grizzlies last season. He was a key figure in taking the Memphis franchise to the playoffs. However, their run was cut short by LeBron James’ Lakers in the first round when the 17-time NBA Champions dominated the Grizzlies with a 4-2 Win.

It was the last time Ja Morant competed in an NBA Game before he went through the gun fiasco in the summer. Nonetheless, the 24-year-old aims to leave the controversy well behind him as he prepares to bring back the previous season’s Grizzlies’ dominance following a poor start this year.
